Today we have our Brand Ambassador Ange sharing 6 eco-friendly beauty tips!
Hi everyone!!
I’m excited to share these eco-friendly tips with you today. I’m not asking you to give up your highlights, go without scented deodorant or slap some eggs in your hair (ok, maybe I am asking that one; egg masks are awesome and eco-friendly) but a few quick tips can help your beauty routine and save our little planet at the same time! I have been making a huge effort to be more eco-friendly in my beauty routine so here are some of my favorite ones:
- Choose a regular wash cloth rather than burning through multiple disposable face wipes,
- Invest in a reusable razor. (According to the EPA we toss over 2 billion plastic razors a year)
- Grab a more natural body spray like Montego Bay or Pineapple Ginger without all the chemicals and dyes that are in name brand perfumes.
- Use a Beach Waves Spray and let your hair air dry (did you know your hair dryer uses more energy in an hour then your air conditioner? CRAZY!) for an eco friendly style.
- Create less waste & get every last drop, when you near the end of a tube of makeup or lotion you can use scissors to cut it open! Use a lip brush to get the rest of your favorite lipstick onto your lips! Or you can follow some of my Upcycling Your Beauty Products tips!
- Recycling counts, even in the bathroom! I always forget to recycle things I use up in there, a toilet paper roll here, plastic bottle of shampoo there always ends up in my waste basket instead of the recycling bin! Make a solid effort to remember to separate those items.

I’m happy to say that these are all things I do : ) Great tips and reminders though, I esp have to remember to cut open toothpaste to get the last bit. One other thing I do that prob sounds really weird but something my mom taught me- I take a toothpick and get all the hair out of razors so they last really long that way. And it prob sounds weird/time consuming but only takes a minute.
Love these tips! I could definitely start apply some of these to my beauty routine! Awesome post as always Ange! :)
These are some great tips. I’m going to have to start incorporating them into my routine :)
Oh yes! I always use washcloths to wash my face– I hate spending so much money on those disposable wipes!
I’m in LOVE with the beach waves spray!
Wow! Those are some great tips Ange! I didn’t know about the reusable shavers, I’m going to have to take a look at that! And that beach spray sounds fab!
Awesome tips Ange! Beach Waves spray sounds perfect for Summer in hot, humid Florida. The last thing you wan to do is turn the blow dryer on.
Cheers,
Therese
