It’s long, but I promise you there is a TON of great info and big benefits for all of our customers – new and repeat!
1000th Sale: We are FAST approaching our 1000th sale and for us, it’s a BIG FREAKIN’ DEAL to us! This shop started out as a hobby. Nothing more. To know that we have made it this far in a little over 10 months is truly crazy for us. And because of that, we want to get a little crazy with our celebration. I won’t tell you what it is yet, but I will tell you it involves a lot of free things! We’ll be celebrating mid-August so definitely be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook or even follow our blog to be notified when the party is happening!
New Shop: Our new shop is almost ready for your eyes! We have new photos, new scents, and tons of new ways to promote our products including some awesome (regular) sales for you guys! I don’t have a specific date yet, but it’ll be in conjunction with our 1000th sale celebration! We will still be selling our goods on Etsy and Storenvy – we just won’t have as many options on these two sites and instead, will focus on having more on the new separate Ecommerce site.
Shipping Times: Our shipping time has been pretty standard since we launched the shop. We’d range anywhere from 4-7 business days on our average orders due to us making the product when it’s ordered to ensure that it’s as fresh as possible when it arrives on your doorstep. But we knew we could do better and worked hard to find a way to do so. We are finally able to make that change so starting next week, we’ll be changing the standard shipping time to 2-4 business days. I’m super excited about this because you’ll have our products in your hands much quicker! We’ll also be adjusting our repeat buyer discounts and will be making it even better in terms of rewarding our repeat buyers!
Affiliate Program: Our new shop is going to have an affiliate program built into it. While we love our referral program (and we plan to keep it around at least for a while!), we know that our customers equal our best marketing tool. With that in mind, we plan to go BIG with our affiliate program. Opportunities with it will range from reviews, giveaways, earning cash, special promotions, and sneak peeks! If you love our products and want to earn some extra cash on the side, this is going to be the perfect opportunity for you! More details will be posted about this during the celebration, but the program will not officially begin until September 1st.
Where We’ll Be: We realized we may not have shared some awesome places to check out our goods in person AND meet us with everyone! Our products have made it into a new Malibu Urban Outfitters store so if you’re looking to check out our goods in person and are in the area, we’d love to see a picture! On top of that, we’ll also be headed down to Chicago for the Renegade Craft Fair on September 7th and 8th! We would love to meet you and have you check out The Gnarly Whale products so if you’re going, let us know!
Donations: By far my favorite thing to share with you guys! Starting on September 1st, we’ll be donating a portion of our profits each month to various charities and organizations that aid in animal recovery, animal care and/or animal protection. This has always been a mission of mine (even before I became self-employed) and it’s the perfect fit for our brand. A few of the organizations we have in mind include The Clearwater Marine Aquarium and The Turtle Hospital.
