ABOUT THE OWNERS
Despite living in the frozen tundra, avid beach bums Ashley and Nathan Griffith ensured that their love for the ocean always accented their most important life events. After being engaged on the Santa Monica Pier and tying the knot on the sands of Jamaica, it was no surprise that their drive for career freedom would collide with their yearning for more sand between their toes. Combine this with their hope for a greener Earth and The Gnarly Whale was born. Their goal is to provide minimal ingredient, vegan bath and beauty luxuries to men and women around the world while leaving the Earth a better place than when they found it.
ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS
All of our products are 100% vegan and cruelty free. We’re tree huggers ourselves so we made sure that all of the ingredients used in our products are completely vegan and have not been tested on animals. Final product testing was also done on humans. We use Vitamin E Mixed Tocopherol (a natural antioxidant that protects food and cosmetic products from oxidation) and Grapefruit Seed Extract as preservatives in most of our products to try to avoid harsh preservatives used in some cosmetics.
ABOUT OUR PACKAGING
Most of our printed materials (business cards, postcards, etc) come from recycled paper. We also use reusable packaging when we mail out our orders whenever possible. Our hope is to leave the Earth a little better than when we found it and provide our customers with a way to do the same.
